Multinational engineering company GHENOVA opens new office in Bizkaia

• The offices will be located in the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia with the aim of reaching one hundred professionals in three years.
• The company, which has more than 800 professionals, already has eleven offices in Spain and another six in countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, Australia, the USA and the United Kingdom.

Bilbao. 23rd March. 2023. Ghenova, an international company that provides multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy services, continues to consolidate its expansion and growth plan by opening a new office in the Bizkaia Technology Park, which is home to 282 companies and is one of the main driving forces behind innovation and business development in the province.

For this new office, it has set itself the objective of incorporating 100 professionals over a period of three years to attend to multidisciplinary projects in the sectors in which it operates, such as Naval and Defence, Energy and Industry, Digital Transformation and Infrastructures.

The person who will be in charge of this important commitment of the company is Santiago Crespo, Industrial Electronic Technical Engineer from the University of the Basque Country, UPV-EHU and Master in Business Administration (MBA). He has more than 26 years of professional experience, having held positions of responsibility in important companies such as INGETEAM, where he spent 11 years as Managing Director of Ingeteam Marine, and LANAVAL in Sestao, where he was Head of Electrical Engineering and Project Management for more than a decade.

According to Ghenova’s CEO, Francisco Cuervas, “The Basque Country is a clear reference both in the naval industry and in energy, and our company, leader in the sector, had to have a physical presence here” and he added that “Ghenova is committed to strong growth in recent years and for this we need new points of access to the market, as well as new resources to meet the growing portfolio of projects, both national and international, which today exceed 40 million euros”.

Ghenova has more than 30 years of experience in the sector. Currently, its staff is made up of 800 professionals, 80% of whom are engineers, distributed in 17 offices located in 7 different countries. In Spain, the offices are located in Granada, Malaga, Cordoba, El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cartagena, Madrid, Ferrol, Vigo, Las Palmas, Bilbao and Seville, the company’s headquarters. And in the rest of the world it has 6 offices in Brazil, Colombia, Bolivia, USA, Australia and United Kingdom.
