Narrative description of the project
The Temane thermal power plant is a 450 MW gas-fired combined cycle thermal power plant with a 5×1 multi-shaft configuration, designed to provide safe, highly reliable, efficient and low-cost electric power.
The Project will supply energy using natural gas from the Pande-Temane fields. The Plant will be based on the following main facilities Five (5) gas turbogenerators, five (5) by-pass stacks, five (5) steam generators with heat recovery, one (1) steam turbine generator, one (1) air cooler, one (1) 400 kV double busbar substation, process and non-process buildings, Balance of Plant (BOP), Associated Civil Works, Transportation, Electromechanical Erection and Start-up.
The new facility, with the capacity to meet the electricity demand of up to 1.5 million homes, is expected to start generating power in 2024.
