Project description:

Disruptive technology that hybridizes the characteristics of a PV (photovoltaic) plant and a CSP (solar thermal with storage) plant.

Objectives:

Replace the heliostat mirrors with photovoltaic panels with built-in light selective filter.

Introduce the layered structure of the selective filter into the inner layer of the glass that makes up the PV.

Allow useful radiation to pass through to the photovoltaic cell and reflect the rest to the receiver of the solar thermal plant tower.
