In 2009 we made the decision to build a subsidiary of Ghenova in Brazil. The objective was to be able to contribute to the development of that country at a fundamental moment, bringing the value and experience of our engineering. In fact, our company is the result of a similar situation in Spain.
Two years later, Brazil was leading the ranking of emerging markets in the world and Ghenova Brazil signed an agreement with the STX Promar shipyard to develop the engineering of eight ships destined to transport liquid petroleum gas for Transpetro, the Petrobras shipping company.
The scope of the project involved the comprehensive development of detailed engineering, support in procurement and supply chain management and permanent support for the construction of three series of ships: four 7,000m3 pressurized, two 4,000m3 pressurized and two semi-pressurized with a capacity of 12,000m3.
At Ghenova we were responsible for the development, execution and management of engineering in the disciplines of structures, piping, equipment, outfitting, electricity, instrumentation, electronics, HVAC and rating.
