Narrative description of the project:

TCG Anadolu (L-400) is an amphibious assault ship of type LHD of the Turkish Navy whose name, in Turkish, refers to the Anatolian peninsula. Construction work began on April 30 2016 at Sedef Shipbuilding inc. shipyard in Istanbul and the keel was laid on February 7, 2018. It was launched on May 19, 2019. The vessel is intended to meet the various needs and requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces, such as sustaining long-duration, long-distance or humanitarian relief operations; while acting as a command center and flagship of the Turkish Navy.
