Seville, 11 July 2023. The engineering multinational Ghenova has taken a significant step in its commitment to women’s rugby by renewing and strengthening its sponsorship with the current runners-up of the División de Honor of the Iberdrola League, “Las Cocodrilas”, which from this season will adopt the name of “Ghenova Cocos”, an association that has the support of the Regional Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía.
In this sense, the CEO of Ghenova, Francisco Cuervas, has highlighted that “this action reflects the firm commitment of our company with sport, specifically with rugby, whose values of effort, respect and teamwork are part of our daily identity as a company”.
After a year of unconditional support for the women’s team, Ghenova has decided to renew its commitment for another season with a benchmark team in Spanish rugby and women’s sport. This agreement is a testament to Ghenova’s continued support for the “Cocos” and its vision of promoting equality in all spheres.
For her part, the president of Ghenova Cocos, Elena González, said that “the club is very excited about this new collaboration that will allow us to continue to grow on and off the field…”.
