Narrative description of the project

The Kaminho Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit is a pivotal component of TotalEnergies’ deepwater project in Angola’s Kwanza Basin. This initiative focuses on developing the Cameia and Golfinho fields, situated approximately 100 kilometers offshore at a depth of 1,700 meters. The project involves converting a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) into an all-electric FPSO, designed to. minimize greenhouse gas emissions by eliminating routine flaring and fully reinjecting associated gas into the reservoirs. Production is slated to commence in 2028, with an anticipated output plateau of 70,000 barrels of oil per day.
