Narrative description of the project
Engineering of the development of the Budget Bid for the Mt Piper Energy Recovery Plant.
This involves the installation of a dedicated boiler on a brownfield site adjacent to the existing Mt Piper Power Station Unit 2, which will burn refuse-derived fuel (RDF) to generate steam. The boiler will burn approximately 200,000 tons of RDF per year. Steam from the new CDR boiler will be integrated into the cold reheat cycle of the existing Unit 2 at MPPS and will be converted to approximately 80,000 MWh/year.
