Narrative description of the project

A new waste-to-energy plant, called KEBAG Enova Emmenspitz, will be built in Zuchwil, Canton Solotthurn (Switzerland). This new plant has two combustion lines that will be used to process 221,000 tons of source-separated municipal and commercial waste per year to generate up to 53.7 MW of thermal energy that will be fed into the respective grid as electricity or district heating.

Scope of Ghenova's work

Detailed engineering of the structure.

GHENOVA is responsible for the engineering and design of the steel structure for the combustion area and boilers:

– Engineering: Structural calculation including optimization of steel structure profiles, detailed calculation of all connections, calculation of temporary works, engineering drawings and floor covering drawings.
– Shop floor documentation: Drawings of individual parts and assembly/delivery units, bills of materials, NC files and Excel list for the LMS data system.
– Assembly documentation: Assembly drawings, cube drawings, lifting unit (LU) drawings and bills of materials.
