The P-78 Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) unit is a significant project by Petrobras, aimed at enhancing oil and gas production in Brazil’s pre-salt Santos Basin, specifically the Búzios field.The P-78 is designed to process up to 180,000 barrels of oil and 7.2 million cubic meters of gas per day, with a storage capacity of two million barrels of oil. The Búzios field, discovered in 2010, is recognized as the largest deepwater oil field globally. The deployment of the P-78 FPSO is a strategic move by Petrobras to boost production capacity in this prolific region.
