The first class of vessels to be procured were the NOAA AGOR A-Class Variant AGORs (NAVs) which were awarded in December 2020. NOAA is leading the acquisition of the next vessels in its Recapitalization Plan – the Class B vessels – with support from PMS325. Class B vessels have as their main missions mapping and surveying, as well as the assessment and management of living marine resources.
