				Narrative description of the project
The discovery of important oil fields in Brazil reactivated the crude oil industry, bringing to light the need for the construction of new ships for its extraction and exploitation. The Brazilian shipyard Enseada was awarded 6 drilling ships, for the design and development of which it relied on GHENOVA, among different companies in Europe, the USA and Japan. The project was developed on a multinational scale, with multidisciplinary work teams based in Romania, Japan, Brazil and Spain. Financial constraint led to the suspension of construction activities in Enseada, consequently the drillships intended were not completed and are not operational.
